Workin' on the Night Shift

Share |

The Sixers bench—Thaddeus Young, Lou Williams, Evan Turner, and Nikola Vucevic—are known around town as "The Night Shift". Yet inexplicably, they play Bob Seger's "Night Move", not the Commodores' "Nightshift", at the games. Whatever. Let's make them change, and tell us which Sixers is which Commodore! I know, the impersonator bit makes it a little confusing, but it's part of the message. And the deep roots of this bench, whether or not they realize it.

Bonus: Here's some weird dude in a tractor lip-syncing the song.

It's timeless! The California Raisins never did a version, though I always thought they had.

While listening, I'm imagining Evan Turner slowly crossing over and doing that weird driving style of his where he gets really low and flat and it's all in slow motion, Lou Williams also has an afro here and he's spotting up and smiling, and after Turner passes (definitely bounce) to Young for a soft layup using the backboard, Doug Collins cooly slaps five high-low style with Aaron Mckie.
