The $575,000 contract Seong-Min Kim signed with the Orioles in January wound up being the worst thing that ever happened to the 17-year-old South Korean pitcher. Strange as the whole affair was, though, the way it fit into a series of misadventures in South Korea by new Orioles boss Dan Duquette was stranger still.
