THIS IS A AUTHOR TPL from module folder
  • A preview so comprehensive, so wide-ranging, so dedicated to getting you up to speed with MLS that it has both Terence Malick and a crossword puzzle in it.

  • Major League Soccer's Chivas USA is no more. So long live Chivas USA, or at least what Chivas USA might have been.

  • Our national DeAndre Yedlin moment, MLS' status as the most undisputedly major league in world soccer, Andrew Farrell's tubby mastery, those times when DC United is Sunderland FC, and other important (domestic) soccer topics.

  • Well, that was painful. Also, that was great.

    The Mavericks Are Perfect

...Well, obviously they're not perfect. They probably won't survive their series against the Spurs. But their perfection all depends what you have in mind.

  • Major League Soccer is looking to expand, and the expansion Sacramento Republic FC wants to be a part of it. It'll be a lot of work, but the presence of an American soccer legend has helped them to see the goal clearly.

  • On Mike Mongtomery, and cultural differences, and a general decline in caring about things as reflected in a particular PAC-12 college basketball game. Also pizza.

  • Michael Bradley is one of America's best soccer players, and very much in his prime, which makes it that much more surprising that he's coming home to America's soccer league. But maybe he and Major League Soccer both know what they're doing.

  • At times, Jozy Altidore both looks like and is the most electrifying American soccer player in recent memory. At other times, during his peripatetic and mostly unhappy pro career in Europe, he really doesn't. The fun, and the emotion, comes from watching him figure it out.
